All quiet again. It looks like the traitors want to remain silent and deadly...

Hmm. I wonder if Kidz was right and it was all an elaborate ruse. The bandwagon for Owyn did roll up pretty quickly.

What's the limit for Wrath of God? If Trilby is in danger of just being flat out removed from the game, i'm not going to waste a day trying to lynch him again.

Right, so this is some kind of plot, as opposed to inactivity, surely? Going to go re-read yesterday, see if there's much there.

They can play it this way if they want to, it seems to me that all it will achieve is lots of seerings, since Kidz seems to be a confirmed human and they didn't kill him. We should just carry on lynching, (obviously not getting the seer) and watch the wolves realise why this is the most fail elaborate plot ever.
I'm more concerned right now that this is actually the wolves failing. In no way could this be a plot while the seer is alive. If you saw last sekrit game, where the seer caught two of the three wolves, you'd know this to be true. -------------------- "Catapultam habeo. Well that was a waste of a day, topped off with the pretty terrible vote for Owyn. Kramer and Jim are certainly on my watch list, with Kramer some way ahead at the top (seems to be joining in on a lot of votes as opposed to making them himself.) The way he also leapt off the Owyn vote at the last minute to vote for someone inconsequential was also very suspicious.
We're also no further forward with the whole Kidz/Lu thing. Part of me wonders whether the whole thing is just some wolf plot and Kidz is having the time of his life playing silly buggers. Unfortunately unless the seer looked at Lu we're not going to get anywhere in it until one of them dies, which with the wolves being as they are seems only likely through lynching. Which brings me on to the wolves. Part of me hopes they aren't killing solely due to inactivity as opposed to not killing as a tactic because whilst they may kill no-one deliberately, they do end up killing the game that way. It seems like the classic, boring wolf tactic of sit back, make an occasional vote, don't do much taken to the nth degree and personally I think it's one of the reasons why people don't enjoy playing/want to play TWG any more. It's so boring and requires so little skill and detracts from the game so much. So wolves, come on, show us what you're made of. (Unless you've just been inactive, in which case be more active damn it!) -------------------- |

Right, so this is some kind of plot, as opposed to inactivity, surely? Going to go re-read yesterday, see if there's much there. Well, if it's inactivity there are 3 people left who were totally inactive Day One: myself, Trilby and Trollslayer. I know that one of those is human, so that means that at least one wolf was active yesterday and Day One, but didn't vote on either. Day One is tentative as to whether it was deliberate or accidental, it's easy to miss your kill vote because you are waiting for someone to raise their head so you can cut it off, and you don't end up getting back online in time to vote assuming your fellow wolves will pick up the slack. Yesterday however, Kidz name was up there as an obvious and easy kill for the entire day, and that guaranteed active wolf did not capitalise on it. So what kind of options do we have? a) The wolves all bandied together on Day One and decided to not kill, possibly after realising that quite a lot of players were inactive and knowing that suspicion would fall on them. b) The wolves genuinely forgot to kill on Day One, and yesterday decided to continue this trend because it's going somewhere beneficial. c) The wolves genuinely forgot to kill on Day One, and even though at least one was active yesterday forgot once more. (There's the outside possibility that Josh is playing silly buggers and there are no wolves, but I don't think he'd do that.) Option C would lead me to conclude that Trilby is almost definitely a wolf, but I would think is also in dire danger of being the recipient of the Wrath of God, and so would be a wasted lynch. Options A and B though would mean that the wolves would be trying to capitalise on the inactivity to kill off humans, and the player that seems most guilty of this to me is Kramer. He initially pushed for me to get lynched, and then subsequently went on to make Owyn the alternate of choice (over my preferred Trilby, at least Owyn had shown he was aware the game existed), before at the last minute jumping back over to Trilby when it made almost no difference. Additionally, he put the only other person I know to be human, Kidz, into an early lead (and eventual coin toss I believe) on Day One. Finally, he's exactly the kind of player who I can see going for this kind of stunt, trying to pull off a no kill win. As one last message to the game for now, to whoever got the seer results last night: I urge you to not follow in my footsteps and reveal it in thread, for fear of some petulant revenge being enacted upon you. Instead, contact Kidz who has a big shiny red telephone direct to the Seer. -------------------- Il Porcupino Nil Sodomy Est

You appear to have fallen for one of my famous hilarious pranks. Bazinga! I'm assuming that's a refutation of the concept, as opposed to a confirmation that we're all killing each other for no reason. If it's the latter, I both hate and love you in equal amounts. -------------------- Il Porcupino Nil Sodomy Est

I did think of doing a TWG with no wolves once, then realised that it was such a bad idea that I had to punch myself repeatedly in the face to atone for my mindsin.

Me too, I was even going to give it a 'Witch Trial' theme. But eventually decided I would probably be lynched for real if I did.

Right, Kramer.
For the reasons I documented in my above post namely: the vote for Kidz on Day One which put Kidz on three votes (he even voted for Jim earlier for putting Kidz in the lead, then went and put him even further in the lead!); the whole Day Two thing of leaping off the train just as it got rolling. Voted early on for Lu and then when other people did, leapt off that vote and voted for Owyn, only to leap off that one again when people voted for Owyn. If you think someone is a wolf Kramer then stick with them. With only three wolves they are unlikely to bandwagon so blatantly (though the Owyn bandwagon was terrible.) In fact, I'd say they're more likely to do what you have done to avoid suspicion - make the votes then change their mind to avoid suspicion. -------------------- |

My lynch for C-Dave seems to be going nowhere. I'll take the hint and rethink.
Tempted by Kramer, just for the weird statement of 'I can defend myself clear thank you', but I'm pretty sure this is more just the inactives than a ploy. -------------------- "Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.

Me too, I was even going to give it a 'Witch Trial' theme. But eventually decided I would probably be lynched for real if I did. Mechstra did that exact thing on Sekrit, we were all 'witches' when we were lynched, but we were all really humans. "In a way, we're all witches when you think about it" Anyway this worries me about the wolves. They must either be Really stupid or really crafty. Not really a way between them. Either way, there's 2 of us alive now who shouldn't be, so let's use this advantage while we can. I'm too convinced on Kramer, I think he's just being typical parv. I'll have to really think. I've done my work now and actually slept (first time since sunday morning) so I'll be more active now. -------------------- |

In fact, I'd say they're more likely to do what you have done to avoid suspicion - make the votes then change their mind to avoid suspicion. If I was a wolf C-Dave, I assure you I would have stuck to my guns and stayed on the Owyn vote. Hell, if Lu is human, I'd have stayed on the Lu vote. Why? Because, jumping off votes after they get going look suspicious and wolves do everything they can to not look suspuscious. Question: Why do humans jump off votes after they get going? Answer: Because they lose their nerve, they begin to doubt their vote and they don't want to get it wrong. So from the bit I've put in italics there and the Q&A session we can draw a general principle: Wolves care about their appearance, whereas humans care about being right or wrong. Truth is, Lu's behaviour suggested humanity to me and I just didn't know about Owyn. Once that vote got traction, I swtiched to Trilby. I still think retracted, Trilby is a good vote for today, as it happens. At least one of the wolves is bound to be an inactive. It makes sense for the active wolves to give their teammate time to catch-up by getting the other inactive lynched. Also: QUESTION FOR THE GM: Are you, perchance, playing with Girdag's ruleset? If so, PLEASE TELL US. -------------------- |

QUESTION FOR THE GM: Are you, perchance, playing with Girdag's ruleset? If so, PLEASE TELL US. Oh FFS NO, it's just a normal TWG with three wolves, two lovers and a seer. No fruity rules, no secret roles, not even a GA. I can't see how I could have made this easier for you tbh -------------------- You are the ones who can hear airs.
