Re-opening this thread seems to have lost like three pages of stuff, but it was left on Masked's challenge of Jake Gyllehaal to Guy Pierce, which I solve as follows:

Jake Gyllanhall dated, and was the subject of a little diss track that you might not have heard of called "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by, Taylor Swift.
That means that his penis is separated by a vagina and time from the penis of John Mayer.
John Mayer toured with Jay-Z in 2009.
Jay-Z performed for the Olympics closing ceremony in 2012 with flacid limp soggy wet pseudo-rockers Coldplay, the frontman of whom is Chris Martin.
Chris Martin's wife is Gwynneth Paltrow.
Gwynneth was in Iron Man 3 with a rugged gentleman by the name of Guy Pierce.

Righto, Christopher Ecclestone to David Tennant with no Doctor Who links.

Ecclestone played a villainous army officer in 28 days later, opposite Cillian Murphy
Murphy's character in the Dark Knight trilogy was named Scarecrow
Another scarecrow starred in the old kids' show, Worzel Gummidge
One of the cast members was Barbara Windsor as "Saucy Nancy"
Barbara indulged in more sauciness in 1954's The Belles of St Trinian's
The sequel to the reboot of the St Trinian's franchise was released in 2009, and starred one David Tennant

Right let's saaaay... Ellen Page to Alison Brie. Go!

That was a fun one.

Ellen Page was in Juno, as was Allison Janey.
Allison Janey was in a great film called The Help, as was the lovely Emma Stone.
Emma Stone had a one-episode cameo in 30 Rock as Kenneth Parcell's blind love-interest. The actual link here is to Tina Fey however.
Tina Fey's BFF is Amy Poelher. They also did the Golden Globes and Saturday Night Live together, and basically pal around and have larks on TV the whole damn time, it's seriously adorable.
Amy Poelher was in Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny, as was Jack Black.
And Jack Black was in an episode in the first season of Community, which stars (amongsth others).... Alison Brie.

Whoopi Goldberg to Jeff Goldblum.

Are you sure that was Emma Stone in 30 Rock?

Oh! It wasn't; but Emma Stone *did* appear in 30 Rock later, for Martin Luthor King day. LINK STANDS

Whoopi Goldberg was the bartender on the starship Enterprise that was captained by Patrick Stewart.
Patrick Stewart was the leader of the X-men who count Hugh Jackman 's Wolverine amongst their number.
Hugh Jackman was in The Prestige competing with rival magician Christian Bale.
Christian Bale was the Batman and fought repeatedly against the Scarecrow played by Cillian Murphy.
Cillian Murphy was recently the leader of the Brummie gang, Peaky Blinders, pursued by Sam Niel's policeman.
Sam Neil was in Jurassic Park with Jeff Goldberg.

Robert de Niro was in the embarassingly poor Stardust, as was Michelle Pfeiffer. I guess we all have to get paid.
Michelle Pfeiffer in the Witches of Eastwick with Jack Nicholson. I actually think Michaelle Pfeiffer is afine actor, but this list has not shown her in a good light. I guess I'm sorry for that, Michelle Pfeiffer?
Jack Nicholson was the original and definitive (end of) Joker in Burton's Batman. Joker was later voiced by Mark Hamill.
Hamill was in an obscure arthouse movie you probably wouldn't have heard of with Harisson Ford.
Ford is married to Callista Flockhart.
Callista used to be in TV, you know, in a show called Allie McBeal. This was that launching platform for a number of film careers, including that or the telegenic but troubled Robert Downey Jr.

Jon Hamm to Jim Rash.

Embarassingly bad, just really really bad. Sub-Gaiman grade writing. A poor effort all round.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Which was a bit rubbish, but mildly entertaining
