Andy Gray and Richard Keys snuck into the office when it was all dark. They managed to sweet talk the old security guard into letting them in - being old, he had no idea they'd been sacked. They crept up to their victim's computer in order to send that dastardly email ...

This means they found our last power role. This person cannot be nightkilled, but cannot give themselves away in the thread. If that person survives till there are 4 people left, they win. We must protect this person at all costs.

We could metagame this and just vote to lynch no-one. However, that would be boring as hell and would ruin the decent variant we have going right now. So nobody suggest it!

Basically, don't lynch who anyone wants to lynch.

So... only lynch people we don't want to lynch?  That's a pretty sad state of affairs.

Does that mean I'm safe? Yay!

Anyway, Clearasday, you're either a seriously shit player or a wolf. Voting yourself Day One, jumping on someone elses vote day Two. You're just Poo Poo!! You are always here yet say very little. It's not a good sign. I don't like, I don't want you here, and....I'm the Rock. So there!

Day 1
Chaos. Xyzia.. no wait YELLOOOOWWWW

Zael and Josh talk politely over a cup of tea about the meaning of day 1 votes. They agree to strongly disagree

Day 2
Captain vs Josh The already escalating situations escalates as an escalator is brought in, escalating it to further unseen and unheard of levels. The result, Josh ascends. Strudel replaces.
Beta was quite shy, which obviously meant wolf. Alas, we're still waiting on that wolfness

Pretty much it.

Hey, you, you there. Are you Karen Brady?

Posted Image

Yes. What ... oh, Andy Gray? What are you doing on this premises, I'll have you escorted out at once!

Posted Image

Ok, ok, I was on me way out, so I was. But can I have a wee moment of your time little lady? See, I know I got a lot o' stick for saying Ms. Massey (who, might I note, lasted only 1 day in a job I did for 20 years! but that's by the by) didn't understand the offside rule, but well - now you're a powerful woman and all, but do YOU understand the offside rule lass?

Posted Image

What? Well ... of course I do, you silly man.

Posted Image

Go on then, I'm listening.

Um ... well, see there's eleven men on a team. Plus the manager. And er...

Right, let me explain this to you ...

Within approximately 45 seconds, Karen Brady fell asleep instantly. Her timing was unfortunate.

Because who's this?

Posted Image

Sleeping on the job Karen? Lord Alan, I thought you said she had an impeccable work ethic in your reference! Well, we can't have this!

Posted Image

You're fired!

Posted Image

Sorry Karen, The Apprentice gig is up too, Margaret is way better. With regret, you're fired!

Karen Brady has been fired. Karen Brady was Robert Trollslayer.

Meanwhile ... at Upton Park

What's that David? Fired you say? Ironic really, she never had the balls to do that to Avram Grant!

No, but we only realisticly have two days to lynch two wolves. If we'd had Robert active (_) the human team will have won on Day FOur.

Clearasday
Bassoon
Internet Vagrant

Is what we are left with. INH has seemingly promised to post yet keeps forgetting, Bassoon keeps chipping in but not really doing much, clearasday is fucking...well, I don't know what he's doing. The Captain has gone A.W.O.L on us and Internet Vagrant isn't exactly active either. The wolves are storming this.

I suspect a combination of :

The Captain + Clearasday
Bassoon + The Captain
Or Bassoon + Clearasday

Again, thanks to really nothing happening but The Captains over protective, somewhat aggressive retorts...

The Captain - Retracted.

Either way if the Wolves are in active/posting once a day they've pretty much ruined this game.

I think INH is the more suspicious. He's posted very little and CAD's story about him being inactive as a wolf struck a chord with me. He was tied to be lynched last night but he got on to put Beta on a second vote and see him killed. The wierd thing was that he didn't mention this vote was to save himself, he summed up everyone like I did and then just popped a vote on beta.

Okay, I'm not going to try and rehash and defend everything Josh did yesterday. If anyone wants to, I'll try and defend it but I'd only be guessing as to why Josh said X etc. and I think most people can see it as someone (who obviously I'd claim is human) just getting a bit caught up and frustrated by things. I'm not trying to claim it proves I'm human, but I think diving back into it won't get us anywhere.

Moving on, Clearasday certain seems a likely contender as a wolf to me. He may just be a shit human but things like this:

Quote

Haha IV. But doesn't retracting suggest that I have no agenda? I've always thought that someone who votes and retracts is someone who cannot make their mind up.

don't sit well with me. It sounds a bit too much like "This is how I would play as a human, so that's what I'm doing."

The follow-up also seems a bit odd to me:

Quote

I will continue to make my mind up in public. It shows transparency, and greatly details that I do not have an agenda. How can you even consider that me being so public with my thoughts suggests that I have a private agenda? I could still be a wolf, yes, but not one that is keeping to himself. my transparency certainly isn't detrimental to our team anyway.

Particularly the "How can you ever consider..." line. It seems a bit too hard a push to look like keeping him alive wouldn't be a bad thing.

Is he really just shit, or is he a wolf? I'm siding with wolf at the moment. Clearasday

And for what it's worth, I think The Captain is human. I think he made some valid points against Josh (me) yesterday and I totally had Josh (me) pegged as a wolf. Now I know he was just a stroppy human, but something tells me you won't take my word for that. :P

As I've explained, I was busy in work and out on Monday evening, hence I haven't had much time to do more than skim the threads on my phone, which isn't really conducive to writing long arguments. I was in a bit of a hurry last night and didn't count the votes, I hadn't actually realised that there wasn't anyone on more than one vote, so I just went for the person I thought was most suspicious. As for summing up everyone, that's what I tend to do when I play this and I don't have strong suspicions for any one person. I go through everyone and try to eliminate people I don't find suspicious, and choose the dodgiest of those remaining.

I'm going for Mr Trilby, basically because he's throwing suspicion on the three players who look least suspicious to me, Bassoon and The Captain in particular.

I've just noticed Strudel's post above mine - I just don't think wolf CAD would have given the game away about them trying to wolf kill Karen Brady - although, I suppose, knowing that they could use the Andy Gray vigi-kill... I suppose I wouldn't put it past him...

Just to note, at 2am its not "going AWOL" its "being asleep".

Annoyingly I was really starting to think Josh was a wolf, but I doubt he'd have jumped ship if that was the case. So my Trilby vote remains. Also the fact he's now voted for me three days in a row and the only actual reason he's given is still "he voted for XYZIA" is really odd.

Edit: Oh sorry, he did add the reason today of "he didn't like being voted on for a rubbish reason".

Inactivity by more people than can possibly be accounted for by low-lying wolves seems to have broken this quite badly.  I think a slow-clap for Robert's shining contribution to the game in particular is called for.

Anyway, Zael is seemingly staying carefully below the radar with short-but-present posts and he's still high on my watch list.  I'm tempted to repeat my vote from yesterday, but part of me is wondering if Clearasday is just suffering from being a bit outspoken.  I still view vote-swapping in the way he's done as highly suspicious.  He also seems to be very eager to establish how upset he is at the loss of another non-wolf and has - as pointed out by several people - made some very strange statements.  He's either the kind of person who'd fail a polygraph when asked his name or there's something more going on there.

Nicey-nicey vote-hedging has achieved nothing but a bunch of dead innocents so far, so barring any complex development between now and quarter to lynch, I'm going to stick to my convictions and vote Clearasday.  Obviously I hope I'm right, but either way it'll clear the table of a wolf or someone who looks so much like one the real culprits are hiding behind his distraction.

Thats two people that have called me a shit human in two days. I don't think it was needed. What  warranted itt? That's why nobody wants to play here. Because you're all stupidly hostile. I haven't lynched a wolf, so clearly i'm a shit human.

Unlike all of you gloriously amazing humans. Stop justifying votes for me with 'He's either a shit human or a wolf, so we lose nothing.' It's a ridiculous reason to hide behind, and it isn't a reason at all.

Shit humans don't put forward a defence.  I did put forward one yesterday,  but obviously it just makes me a shitter human. No, not emotionally guiltripping as a defence, I really don't care to play if that's how we play here. So elite that if anyone tries to play transparently or tries to meta-game, they're shit.

I haven't called you a shit human, at least not in any sort of pejorative sense.  I'm sorry if you feel my post was in some way an attack, because it wasn't meant in that way.  I was simply saying that you are either A) a wolf or B) behaving in a way that I find complicates the process of detecting those who actually are.  It has nothing to do with your failure to lynch a wolf and I don't think anyone - certainly not me - has suggested it is.  I have however made my reasoning for the case against you perfectly clear.  Playing the wounded feelings card like you've just done does nothing to refute any of what I've said.  All it can possibly do is distract from the fact that you haven't made any substantial defense.

I don't understand how you can 'not care to play' when, other than Josh flouncing out in his usual idiosyncratic flurry of posts, everyone seems to being perfectly civil towards each other.  I don't see anyone attacking anyone else in meta-terms.  As a response to your final comment, I suppose I'd say that if you really get that upset when people vote for you in the game then perhaps that's why you're coming across as so suspicious to me and therefore my reasoning, even if faulty, is perfectly justified.

In fact, isn't "well if that's the way things are then I don't want the job anyway" a rather Sky Sport way of covering yourself?  Has 'the game gone mad"?  That certainly seems to be what you're suggesting.
